Our Statement of Commitment

Marsden Families Program (MFP) is committed to providing specialist therapeutic intervention and intensive support services to children and young people and their families, and assist them to develop skills, confidence and connections needed to be resilient and capable of actively shaping their own future.

Our organisation is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people and their families and the protection of children from harm. We commit to this with Safe Practices policies and procedures embedded throughout the operational practice and service delivery of Marsden Families Program. We endeavour to provide a safe and supportive service environment for children and young people by developing and delivering holistic, high quality programs and activities, incorporate supervised physical activity, relaxation and nature based activities into our programs, and partner well to extend the reach and effectiveness of our programs and activities.

  • Developing an organisational framework for bringing the vision of reconciliation to life.

Our funding

Our specialised counselling and family support programs are funded through the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs so a referral from a child safety officer is required.

We also draw on the resources of the Frederick Marsden Youth Center, philanthropic and grant funding, and the goodwill of volunteers and local agencies such as the Qld Police Service and schools.  There may be a small fee to cover food and materials.

Some of our programs and services are also available on a fee for service basis so please give us a call on 07 3285 0900 if you would like to explore your options.
